Mesothelioma - Symptoms & How To Treating

Hallo blogger and all of my friend in the world, Mesothelioma is a thin layer on the surface of the body cavity and organs contained therein. Most mesothelioma begin as one or more nodules growing solid tumors to form a layer around the lungs, abdominal organs or heart.

Mesothelioma is most common in the chest cavity and is associated with asbestos exposure in up to 90% of cases. It has been proven that asbestos fibers are inhaled some quick work their way through the lung tissue and into the chest cavity.

There are two major cell types of mesothelioma, epithelial and Sarcomatoid. Sometimes both types of cells could be present. Sarcomatoid type is rare and occurs only about 15% of cases. This indicates a poorer prognosis. In very rare cases, mesothelioma can be derived from the benign, the cells of non-malignant. Benign mesothelioma is called can be cured surgically.
There are four known types of mesothelioma:
1. Pleural Mesothelioma This type of mesothelioma develops in the lining of the lungs is known as the pleura. This is the most common form of malignant mesothelioma with about 70 percent of cases of pleural originated.
2. Peritoneal Mesothelioma Form of mesothelioma develops in the lining of the abdominal cavity, known as the peritoneal membrane.
3. Pericardial Mesothelioma Form of mesothelioma develops in the lining of the heart, known as the pericardium.
4. Testicular Mesothelioma Testicular mesothelioma develops in the tunica vaginalis of the testes and is the most rare form of cancer.

Typically, mesothelioma involves men over 40 years. Others have been exposed to asbestos in the household environment often without realizing it. Asbestos is a fibrous substance that occurs naturally that is widely used in the 20th century in a number of different industries.

Mesothelioma symptoms often resemble less serious conditions that can make diagnosis difficult. The following is a list of some common symptoms of mesothelioma patients may experience.
1. Symptoms of pleural Shortness of breath, chest pain, persistent cough, fatigue, lumps under the skin in the chest, swelling of the face and arms
2. Symptoms of peritoneal Weight loss, abdominal pain and swelling, bowel obstruction, nausea, fever
3. Symptoms of pericardial Heart palpitations, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, shortness of breath, night sweats
4. Testicle Symptoms Painful or painless testicular lump Treatment depends on the location of the tumor, how far it has spread, and your age and general health. Whatever the stage of mesothelioma, there are several types of treatments that can be used.

There are three kinds of traditional treatment for patients with malignant mesothelioma.
1. Operation Surgery has traditionally been called out cutting or reconstruction of the physical parts of the body
2. Radiation therapy: The use of high-energy radiation from x-rays, gamma rays, neutrons, and other sources to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors
3. Chemotherapy Application of beneficial effects of the drug to control or cure disease or abnormal state of living organisms or tissue Experimental treatments are also available for patients who participate in clinical trials, conducted to test the procedure up-and-coming and drugs.
